Excitement was in the air this week when five of our eighth grade students represented our school as members of the Gray Matter high school robotics team. Their hard work got us to the third round of playoffs and even helped us to win the prestigious Engineering Inspiration award. We are so proud of them and of the entire Gray Matter team!

Color Wars, April edition! Students competed this week for who has the most class color spirit. While each group did an amazing job, the 6th graders pulled ahead in the end. This win places them ever closer to capturing the coveted Class Cup at the end of the year - good job, everyone!

Our students had the opportunity to visit the STEM Festival during their school day last Friday, where they got to observe (and be part of) many fun and exciting science experiments. Thank you to the staff and parent volunteers who made this trip such a huge success.

Would you like to make a big difference this spring? The Hemlock Federation of Teachers is collecting donation items for God's Helping Hands, a local outreach program which supplies clothing and food to families in need who live in our community.
The Middle School Office is a drop-off spot for this drive, so send a few items in with your student or stop in with your donation and see us in person! Every contribution is a big step toward strengthening our community and ensuring no neighbor goes without.

Time to glow! Our Middle School Student Council put on a legendary glow-in-the-dark dance, and to say it was a huge hit is an understatement. Students wore their best glow attire and partied the afternoon away with pizza, accessories, and an amazing DJ.
