A huge THANK YOU to the Hemlock Community Pep Club for their generous donation to Hemlock Public Schools Physical Education Program. A classroom set of pickleball paddles will help us foster a love of racquet sports that can last a lifetime. The game of pickleball has gone "viral" with The Pickleheads database now includes 68,458 courts, with 18,455 new courts added in 2024 (USA Pickleball). The paddles will be shared among Ling Elementary, Hemlock Middle School, and Hemlock High School.

Happy Custodian Appreciation Day!
HMS would like to take a minute to recognize our custodial staff for all of their hard work and dedication in making our school "SPARKLE". Thank you for everything that you do every day!

DONUT WEDNESDAYS ARE BACK! Wednesday, October 1st will be our first Donut Wednesday. How does this work? Bring in $2.00 and AFTER you have eaten your lunch, you will have the opportunity to purchase a donut to finish out your lunch hour. All donuts must be eaten before going outside to recess, so make sure you plan your lunch hour accordingly.

Picture day is just around the corner. Don't forget to go online and order your pictures at mylifetouch.com and use the Picture Day ID: EVTX7SP6R.

Homecoming parade, football games, dances and Sawdust Day festivities were the theme for our hometown of Hemlock this weekend. We hope that everyone was able to get out and enjoy some part of the busy weekend. Shout out to our HMS for taking 3rd place in the Sawdust Days Scarecrow Contest this year!

Who lives in a hay bale at Hemlock Middle School? 🍁🪓 Our Lumberjack Sponge Bob is all dressed up and ready for Sawdust Days!

Starting the day off right! 🏀 Mr. Keenan is getting some early morning hoops in with our Huskies before class begins.

Friday Night Lights, leveled up — meet Dallas.
This Friday, September 19, we’re dialing in brighter lighting for future night track meets and piloting a supervised play zone—an “auxiliary game at the game” for our elementary and middle school students. Let’s be real: kids have always treated the pavilion like a NASCAR circuit, occasionally clipping the dad balancing three Diet Cokes and a nacho… and splashing that legendary puddle next to the brave mom in white pants (in October—bold choice).
Here’s the plan:
Where: Northwest of Wallace Field
Who: Elementary & middle school students
Supervision: Dallas, HHS senior and all-around good guy who knows names, gives high-fives, and keeps things fun and calm
Gear: Please don’t bring balls—we’ll have plenty
Parents: We still encourage you to watch the game with your kids; this is just a helpful option
It’s a pilot, so we’re learning as we go—thanks for the grace. Brighter bulbs (literally) are on the way. See you under the lights!

As we prep lighting for future night track meets, we’re testing a supervised play zone for our elementary & middle school students—an auxiliary game at the game. Because let’s be honest: kids have always treated the pavilion like a NASCAR track, occasionally clipping the dad balancing three Diet Cokes and a nacho… and yes, splashing that puddle next to the brave mom in white pants (in October—bold choice).

Gear: Please don’t bring balls—we’ll provide them
Parents: We still encourage you to watch the game with your kids; this is just a helpful option
We’re learning as we go, so thanks for the grace. Brighter bulbs are literally on the way. See you under the lights!
