Hemlock Student Leading Students remembered 9/11 with flags and a display at Hemlock High School. Although, the students present were not yet born on that day, they remember because we remember. Advisor Mrs. Mulvaney reminded us that this event is forever in our memory and it is upon us to never forget that freedom is not free.

Attention High School Students: Your hot lunch menu has several fresh choices coming your way this school year! Lunches will be $2.70 with stations to choose from! Enjoy hot or cold sandwiches, pizza station, salad bar, and/or the ASIAN bar. Menus will change daily, but there will be something for everyone! Welcome Melissa Jaremba to Hemlock High School! Melissa will be joining the Hemlock High School staff as the office secretary.
“Melissa’s positive and can do attitude will be a great addition to Hemlock Schools.” Keith Green Hemlock High School Principal.
Melissa spends most of her free time with her family Jason and Emma. She enjoys the outdoors and loves to travel the state of Michigan.
Melissa states, "My family has been part of the Hemlock community for the past 6 years. I am excited for this opportunity to become part of the school system and work with all of our students.”

Summer break is almost over and we are getting ready to go for the upcoming school year! High School schedules for the 2019-2020 school year are now available on Skyward. If any changes are needed, drop in sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, August 13th and Thursday, August 15th between the hours of 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the high school office. Changes can also be made by emailing your requests to boros@hemlockps.com.

FROM MONSANTO: Your grant application was reviewed by a panel of STEM educators and selected as one of the strongest submissions in your region. Your school district is now among an elite group of finalists being considered by the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education Farmer Advisory Council to receive a grant.


Congratulations to: Rachel Hilbrandt, Jonas Kanouse, Greison McLeod, Madison Near, Alex Ostrowski, Damon Savage, Jared Schoen, and Alex Twigg. These students completed Mrs. Lockwood's high school Accounting I class with the requirements set forth by the Delta College Articulation office. Each of them have qualified to receive 4 college credits from Delta College. Congratulations and best of luck!


Hemlock Sophomores, Gavin Briggs and Tyler Jones are the 2019 Michigan Tech Engineering Scholarship recipients for the Summer Youth Program. Our robotics team and our school family are proud of their accomplishments.


Hemlock's Students Leading Students group maintained the High School Memorial Garden recently. Our SLS students volunteered their time and talents to make the garden a beautiful and welcoming place for the community and our school family.
