Hemlock High School’s Early Middle College program has helped students get a head start on their future for more than a decade. Through our partnership with Delta College, eligible students can earn college credit—often at no cost—while receiving support right here on campus in the Reg Rye Learning Center.

As we prepare to expand our AP offerings in 2026–27, students will have even more ways to personalize their path.

Have a current sophomore? Join us for our Early Middle College Online Open House with Dean of Students Kyle Boros and the high school team.

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the halls,
Not a student was stirring—no texts, no calls.
The lockers were silent, the classrooms were bare.

The students were nestled all snug in their beds,
While dreams of no homework danced in their heads.

The moon on the snow made the school grounds glow bright,
Turning the football field sparkly and white.

Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night! See you all in the New Year!

’Twas 5 Days Before Christmas

’Twas a mere 5 days before Christmas at Hemlock High School,
When Student Council declared, “Let’s make these halls cool!”
With garland and lights and a questionable tree,
They set out to decorate with holiday glee.

Coach Mr. Bauer dribbled ornaments down the hall,
Calling it “conditioning”—a full-court tinsel brawl.
While Math Queen, Mrs. Bry, measured angles just right,
“Symmetry matters,” she said, adjusting lights.

Mrs. Woodcock, art connoisseur, with creative delight,
Declared the décor “modern,” “abstract,” and “quite tight.”
Band Director, Mr. Bicigo, led a jingle-bell band,
With trumpets and tubas echoing through the land.

In the gym, Mr. Earl, blew his whistle with cheer,
“Two laps with the wreaths—holiday fitness is here!”
Mrs. Pearsall corrected a comma on a sign,
“‘Season’s Greetings,’ kids—grammar still matters, it’s fine.”

Health tips rang out from Mr. Keenan nearby,
“Too much cocoa? Remember—hydration’s not a lie!”
Math King, Mr. Krueger, calculated the cheer,
Declared the joy level “exponentially clear.”

Ms. Lennox read poems both clever and bright,
While Mr. Marietta built reindeer from scraps overnight.
Football coach Mr. Slate drew plays in the snow,
“How to decorate faster—X’s and O’s!”

Mrs. Gross solved equations with tinsel and flair,
While Mr. Sysak, the English vet, said, “I’ve seen worse—fair.”
Mrs. Whitford, yearbook and history star,
Captured the moment: “This’ll be page one—by far!”

Then came Mr. Yuvan, science teacher and Scrooge,
Eyeing blinking lights like, “That wattage is huge.”
Mr. Zolinski, strength coach, flexed holiday pride,
“Lift with your legs when you move that tree—don’t slide!”

Mrs. Bonner brought kindness wrapped up in a bow,
With Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Provoast, advisors in tow.
Counselor Mr. Boros spread calm through the rush,
“Breathe in the season—no need to push.”

Custodians Mr. Mike, Greyson, Damian, and Shane; saved the day, no surprise,
Fixing lights, ladders, and rogue candy-cane ties.
At the front desk, Mrs. Jaremba and Mrs. Wardin smiled,
As Ms. Jenny, cheered every student and child.

Ms. Baase showed up as Rudolph—nose glowing bright,
While Lunch Lady Lindsay served cookies just right.
And Athletic Director Mrs. Pohl gave a nod of approval,
“Teamwork like this? That’s a championship jewel.”

So the halls shined bright with Hemlock-made cheer,
Thanks to Student Council—and staff we all hold dear.
Before leaving the office one last time before break,

Mr. Green excitedly exclaimed, " Merry Christmas, Hemlock High School! See you in 2026!"
