Hemlock High School Book Club 2023 Pajama Drive From December 4 to December 15, Hemlock High School’s Book Club ran their ninth annual pajama drive community service project. Our students and teachers donated more than 100 pairs of pajamas this year. The pajamas will be delivered to the Underground Railroad of Saginaw. Mrs. Whitford said, “I’m so proud of my book club members and the students and parents of Hemlock High School. Their overwhelming spirit of giving will keep many children warm and cozy this winter.” Students from Mrs. Woodcock’s first hour Art I class collected the most pajamas during the drive and earned themselves a “Whitford Waffle Breakfast.”

HHS Work-Based Learning Hannah and Lauren Bosenik currently work at our Hemlock McDonald’s location. They chose to work here because of the flexible hours as well as the good starting wage. Both girls continue to get compliments on their incredible customer service abilities, they both always come to work with an exceptional attitude which can go a long way in this business. Lauren wants to go into nursing, and Hannah wants to be a teacher. Mrs. Lockwood states, "The skills in customer service they are learning at McDonald's, will no doubt benefit them in their career choices." According to McDonald's General Manager, Derek Mills, “Hannah and Lauren Borsenik are two of the happiest employees that I have ever had the privilege of working with, and I have no doubt that they both have very bright futures ahead of them”.
