Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who encourage, support, and inspire our students every day.

Whether cheering from the sidelines, helping with homework, attending concerts and performances, or simply being a steady source of support, your impact reaches far beyond the classroom.

Thank you for the guidance, encouragement, and example you set for the next generation.

From all of us at Hemlock High School, Happy Father’s Day!

Hemlock Public School District officially opened the completed Wallace Field & Krueger Track complex with a special ribbon-cutting celebration that honored tradition, legacy, and Huskie pride.

The event welcomed community members, alumni, former players, families, and honored guests as the district celebrated a major investment in student opportunities and athletics.

Named in honor of legendary Hemlock educators and coaches Bob Wallace and Don Krueger, the facility stands as a tribute to the generations of students and athletes they impacted through leadership, dedication, and service to Hemlock Schools.

The evening included a commemorative walk around the new track, recognition of the undefeated 1974 football team, tributes to Wallace and Krueger, and a celebration of the strong community support that helped bring the project to life.

Now serving as the home of Hemlock High School Football and Track & Field, the complex represents Hemlock’s continued commitment to student growth, teamwork, wellness, and excellence for years to come.

Hemlock High School Girls Golf completed its first-ever season with an impressive start for the new program.

Led by Coach Phil, the Huskies showed steady growth and competitiveness throughout the season while representing Hemlock with pride on and off the course.

The team earned several top-ten finishes, including a first-place finish at the Breckenridge Invitational. Freshman Maylin Buckley earned Conference Honorable Mention honors and qualified individually for the MHSAA State Finals, where she finished 17th overall.

The inaugural season also marked an important milestone for seniors Victoria Hauffe, Bree Bierman, and Allie Watson, who helped establish the foundation for the future of girls golf at Hemlock High School.

From the first tee shot to the final round of the season, the Huskies built a strong foundation and an exciting future for the program.

EMC quote

Hemlock Public School District proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Kunold Courts, honoring the lasting legacy of longtime educator and coach Ronald Kunold.

During his 28 years at Hemlock Schools, Coach Kunold made a tremendous impact both in the classroom and on the tennis courts. Known for his leadership, dedication, and passion for students, he helped build a culture of excellence within the tennis program while mentoring generations of Huskie athletes.

Under his leadership, Hemlock Tennis earned statewide recognition with multiple top-10 finishes, and in 1991 he was named Coach of the Year by the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association.

Coach Kunold was also known for the pride he took in caring for the courts himself, ensuring his athletes had a place they could truly call home. Today, those courts proudly carry his name and serve as the home courts for the Hemlock High School Tennis program.

School may be out, but connection still matters.

Summer is a great time to relax and recharge, but it’s also important to stay connected with friends, family, and supportive people.

Make time to check in with friends, spend time outdoors, join activities or community events, and be sure to reach out if you’re struggling

A strong support system helps keep us healthy all year long.
