Real-life lessons in action. 💸 Mrs. Lockwood’s BST class has been diving into a family financial project where students budget for a full month of living expenses.
Whether flying solo, living with roommates, or managing a household as a married couple, students are learning just how quickly money can come and go - and what it really takes to balance a budget - complete with a wedding.
Fun fact: that pink paper wedding bell hanging from the ceiling is from Mr. and Mrs. Lockwood's wedding 35 years ago.

🎶 Congratulations to the Hemlock Concert Band on earning a 1st Division rating at their festival performance last night. 🎺 Their tireless preparation paid off with an outstanding performance that earned them the top score available from a panel of judges with a combined 60+ years of teaching and performance experience.
Following their performance, the band got a clinic by both judges, and picked up lots of new tips to be better musicians and even better people. Way to #PullTheSled, Huskies.

This award recognizes teams that demonstrate sustainable practices with a lasting impact—and Gray Matter has gone above and beyond. From creating shadowing opportunities for new members to maintaining a strong pipeline of students through their robust FIRST program, they’re ensuring their knowledge and legacy live on.
They’ve opened their facility to support other teams, partnered with the local water department, and even recycle batteries—showing what it truly means to lead by example.

What a day on the HSC Field at the FIRST Robotics State Finals!
Our team started the day ranked 19th but didn’t let that stop them—they dug deep, worked together, and climbed all the way up to finish 3rd overall! Their grit, teamwork, and determination paid off, earning them a spot as Alliance 2 heading into the finals.
We are incredibly proud of these students, mentors, and supporters who continue to show what Huskie pride, persistence, and innovation look like.
