2022 Senior Spotlight Grace Oldenburg What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? My favorite class at Hemlock has been English 12 with Mrs. Metiva. She knows how to keep us engaged and always makes whatever we're reading interesting and fun. What activities have you participated in? I've been on the Varsity Pom Team for 4 years, being Spirit Chair for 2 and Captain for 1. I've also been Class President for 4 years, been in NHS for 2 years, and I've been on Student Council for 3 years, being Secretary for 1. I've also been in band for 4 years, being Section Leader for 2. What are your plans for after graduation? After graduation I plan to attend Michigan State University to pursue Human Biology in hopes to go into the forensic field. I will also continue to pom on Mid American Pompon Staff and hopefully on Michigan State's pom team.

2022 Senior Spotlight Bella Light What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Mr. Slate's Zoology because we talk about football and Mrs. Bry's class. What activities have you participated in? Soccer for 2 years, band for 4 years and SCC for 2 years. What are your plans for after graduation? Maybe go to the transitions center for 1 or 2 years and then go to Delta, SVSU or MITC.

2022 Senior Spotlight Chayton Ross What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Advanced Chemistry because our labs are always very exciting and Mr. Yuvan is funny even when he's not trying to be. What activities have you participated in? I participate in Soccer, Track, and Robotics. What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to attend the University of Michigan to major in some field of engineering.

2022 Senior Spotlight Aaron Mirelez What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Mechanical Drawing What activities have you participated in? Football and Track What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to finish Early Middle College. After that is complete I plan to head to SVSU to pursue a teaching career.

2022 Senior Spotlight Alexander Kramer What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Advanced Chemistry because the labs are fun and Mr. Yuvan makes the class interesting. What activities have you participated in? I have participated in Early Middle College and band. What are your plans for after graduation? I plan on finishing Early Middle College and then transferring to WMU.

2022 Senior Spotlight Kalyn Wilkey What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? English 12 with Mrs. Metiva she made learning easy and fun was the best part of going to school. What activities have you participated in? Tennis, Volleyball What are your plans for after graduation? Going into the Army.

2022 Senior Spolight Jacob Shelagowski What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Zoology with my friends. What activities have you participated in? Football, basketball, baseball, track What are your plans for after graduation? Attend SVSU to play baseball and major in accounting .

Congratulations to our robotics team! In our division we will be with Netherlands, Israel, Turkey, China and Japan. Keep an eye on the Roebling Division. Go Gray Matter!

2022 Senior Spotlight Haylee Near What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Psychology because we did interactive projects, worked in groups, and it was the most interesting class I took. What activities have you participated in? I participated in volleyball for two years, spirit and art club for two, soccer for four, and did a lot of volunteering for Hemlocks soccer program outside of school. What are your plans for after graduation? After graduation I plan to work during the summer at my current job to save up for college, and then start classes next fall at Delta to become a dental hygienist.

2022 Senior Spotlight Alivia Puz What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Junior Year Astronomy with Mr. Slate. I found very interesting and all the assignments were fun to work on. My favorite thing we learned about was all the stars. What activities have you participated in? My freshman year I played volleyball. I participated in Art Club and Spirit Club for two years and during my senior year I was apart of the yearbook staff. What are your plans for after graduation? Starting in the fall, I plan to pursue a degree in Sonography at Delta College to become a Ultrasound Technician.

2022 Senior Spotlight Kylie Kienitz What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Art class because Mrs. Woodcock was always fun to hang out with and I was able to practice a skill that I love. What activities have you participated in? Art Club and Powerlifting What are your plans for after graduation? To serve in the United States Air Force, leaving June 14th, 2021.

2022 Senior Spotlight Cameron Deweese What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? English 12 with Mrs. Metiva because she is hilarious. What activities have you participated in? I have participated in the theatre program for two years and have been in band for four years. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to finish the Early Middle College program and then transfer to a university to pursue an undecided major.

2022 Senior Spolight Aubry Morgan What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? US History, because I am fascinated with how the US came to be. What activities have you participated in? Band, Robotics What are your plans for after graduation? I'm going to Adrian College and after that I will be headed to the Army to be a pilot.

Consumers math with Mrs. Bry because it has taught me so much about real world finances that I will need to use out of high school. What activities have you participated in? Soccer, basketball and volleyball What are your plans for after graduation? I plan on going to Delta for physical therapy program and then transferring to Eastern Michigan for a Bachelor and Masters in Athletic Training.
