Ms. Riley’s class had an egg-citing time during their Hatching Project! 🐣🐥
Students learned all about the life cycle of chickens and watched in amazement as baby chicks hatched right before their eyes. What a fun hands-on learning experience!

Our preschoolers had a big milestone this week — eating lunch in the cafeteria for the very first time alongside our Young 5s & Kindergarten friends! 🍎🥪 We are so proud of how brave, independent, and excited they were! 💛

Our STEAM classes learned about plants and seeds by exploring dandelions and how their seeds travel. 🌱💨 Students discovered that seeds with more spread-out “puffs” travel farther in the wind, and that dandelion seeds are hydrophobic, helping them stay dry and float through the air even after rain. 🌧️
Ms. Schmidt makes learning so much fun!

Camp Hammis Day was full of cozy fun! ⛺🔥

Students came dressed in their comfy pajamas and brought along their favorite stuffies and blankets for a special camping-themed day at school. The classroom transformed into a mini campground with desk tents, little campfires around the room, yummy mini s’mores snacks, and lots of fun camping activities throughout the day.

So many smiles, laughs, and sweet memories were made during our indoor camping adventure! 🏕️😊

Last week, our preschool, Young 5s, and kindergarten students enjoyed Cotton Candy Day with “Sugar Beet Bob” — also known as Mrs. Klopf’s dad! As a retired Michigan Sugar employee, he shared interesting facts about sugar beets and the process of making sugar before treating the kiddos to delicious fresh cotton candy.

The smiles were huge, the cotton candy was a hit, and the memories made were even sweeter! A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers for helping throughout the event and to Michigan Sugar for generously providing the machine rental and supplies to make this special day happen.
