Here are just some of our students who wore green today to help raise awareness for issues surrounding mental health. Each week this month we have been focusing on a different disability as part of Acceptance April and the kids have done a great job of showing support!

The Hemlock Preschoolers took a field-trip to the library this week where they learned how to check out books and materials. They were even treated to a storybook reading by the librarian. Thank you to Rauchholz Memorial Library for having us!

We'd like to announce that the students in Mrs. Klopf's Kindergarten class are officially published authors! They've each contributed two pages to "We Have a Dream" - a book detailing what each child wants to be when they grow up. Though they may be future teachers, athletes, and flight attendants they are already accomplished writers - great job!
After a whole month of hard work, students at Hemlock Elementary celebrated the end of Reading Month with an exciting and long-awaited assembly. Prizes were awarded for reading-minutes logged, pledge-money raised, and much more - the students even got to silly-string Principal Snider! We'd like to extend our gratitude to the Hemlock Elementary PTO for making this month-long event so successful and to the kiddos for putting in so much effort. Great job, everyone!
A big congratulations to the Leaders of the Pack for March! These students were chosen for showing exemplary behavior, great attitude, and leadership all month long. Keep it up!

Due to our having a snow day before break, the Kindergarten classes held a belated Easter Egg hunt indoors. Our kiddos had a blast hunting for eggs and then finding surprises inside - a big thank you to our teachers and high school students for arranging this activity!
