School Social Worker Ms. Rebekah Harris paid a visit to the kindergarteners in Ms. Kelly's class to give a social-emotional lesson. With the help of The Crayons' Book of Feelings, students learned how to recognize, understand, and express all of their big emotions.

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween today - from class parties to pumpkin decorating to the parade around the Bus Loop, we at Hemlock Elementary gave Halloween our all. We'd like to wish everyone a fun, safe, and memorable Halloween!

This week, Director of Curriculum & Instruction Lindy Beckman and Superintendent Dr. Don Killingbeck stopped by with a small token of appreciation and a big thank you. Assistant Principal Sensabaugh is a steady, student-centered leader who is always focused on doing what’s best for kids and supporting staff. She’s the person who quietly makes sure students feel seen, parents feel heard, and classrooms get what they need.

Our Young Fives classes took an exciting field trip to Schomaker Farms this week, where they participated in everything a farm has to offer in the fall. From harvesting corn to petting goats and sheep, everyone had a wonderful time. We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Schomaker Farms for welcoming us and also to the Hemlock Business Association for graciously sponsoring the busing for the event.
