This week's #StaffSpotlight is on Cory Snider, our energetic Elementary Principal and Athletic Director here at Hemlock Public School District.
While he confesses his JNCO jeans in Middle School might have been his worst fashion decision ever, there are some other fun things you may not know about him yet:
• If he could time travel, he’d head back to Ancient Rome because he loves their historical impact (as well as the gladiators).
• What did he want to be when he grew up? Funnily enough, he wanted to go into education and be a teacher and coach.
• A song he could listen to on repeat is ‘Last Night’ by Morgan Wallen.
• If he won the lottery and gave up his positions at HPSD, he’d buy a sports franchise. If the lottery wasn’t quite that extravagant, he’d simply golf a whole lot.
While winning the lottery would be cool, we’re grateful for your energy, presence and leadership here in Hemlock, Mr. Snider.

It's #TeacherFeature Tuesday and today we are featuring the delightful Baylee Walker, a newer addition to the Huskie Pack, who is an MTSS/Special Education teacher at K.C Ling Elementary.
She has always wanted to be a teacher, in fact, she would play 'teacher' with her two sisters while her dad got to be the principal.
Here are a few more fun nuggets to know about Baylee:

This week's #StaffSpotlight is on Rick Crofoot, our Building and Grounds Director here at Hemlock Public School District (and half of the ‘Rick + Casey Dynamic Duo’).
We think he's pretty cool and wanted you to get to know him better, so here are some things you may not know about Rick:
• His favorite part of his job is the challenge and satisfaction of completing a project.
• A song he could listen to on repeat is ‘Something To Believe In’ by Poison.
• He loves to restore old vehicles and engines and has restored a 1970 duster and a 1940 Chevy truck.
• He enjoys cooking polenta and thinks his favorite animal just might be an eagle.
• A quote he lives his life by is, “Don’t worry about things you can’t control”.
• If he retired, he’d spend his days fishing and hunting (but he assures us he's too young to retire).
Thanks for all you do to keep our buildings and grounds in peak condition, Rick. We are so grateful for the hard work, positive attitude and experience you bring to the Hemlock community!
