It's #TeacherFeature Tuesday, and today we're featuring the sensational Sarah Engelhard, a 2nd grade teacher at K.C. Ling Elementary.
Apart from wrapping up her 3rd year of teaching here at Hemlock Public School District, here are some things you may not know about her...
• Her favorite subject in school was math because there was always a formula to find the right answer!
• She wanted to be a veterinarian as a child. She's always had a love for animals, especially dogs!
• If she won the lottery and gave up teaching, she'd stay home and spend time with her Bernedoodle, Lucy!
• She could listen to any song by Luke Combs on repeat.
Lastly, we asked her how she hoped her students would remember her, and she replied that she hopes they remember her "as a kind, compassionate, silly, and encouraging teacher".

Along with having performed several weddings, his passion for cooking, and his love of playing the guitar, here are some interesting things you may not know about Jeremiah…
• As a child, he wanted to be a trucker that looks like Elvis.
• He has 2 orange cats...both named "Steve".
• The Disney character he most relates to is Han Solo; a little scruffy looking but wholesome.
• If he won the lottery and didn't have to work anymore, he said he'd be flat broke because he'd be the proud owner of an amazing collection of guitars and amps.
• We asked him what quote he lives his life by, and he simply replied: "make hay while the sun shines".
Congrats on your graduation from Dale Carnegie earlier this spring (with a distinguished award, nonetheless), Jeremiah. We are so grateful for the kind, calm, can-do attitude you bring to Hemlock Public School District!

🦋🌱 Our preschoolers at Hemlock Public School District have been witnessing the wonders of nature unfold! 📚✨
After observing the incredible process of metamorphosis up close, they gathered in the Memorial Garden as their classroom butterflies took their first flight. From wiggly little caterpillars to the remarkable sight of them forming chrysalises, our students have been captivated by the transformation of these magnificent creatures.
This is an annual journey of growth, learning, and discovery that our preschoolers experience, and a testament to the power of hands-on education that we trust will inspire a lifelong love for nature in the hearts of our little huskies.

• Her favorite subjects in school were writing and art.
• She's always wanted to be a teacher.
• If she won the lottery and gave up teaching, she'd open up a children's recreational center and do interior design work for fun.
• She loves watching her students become strong readers, and seeing them filled with pride when they realize that they can do it.
Lastly, we asked her what her 'spirit animal' would be, and she said, "Probably my basset hound Chet. He is very motivated to get what he wants, but also spends plenty of time sleeping and laying around".
