🐾 It's time for our final travelin' huskie pupdate of the summer.
Hutch and Colton started their adventure at Jewell Lake National Forest where they got to rustic camp, kayak, rock hunt and fish, and then they made their way to Alpena where they camped in the middle of the forest. The Dinosaur Gardens were next where they sipped lemonade bubble tea while searching for dinos, and they ended the visit with gem mining and fossil digging. What a #huskietastic trip!

Dear Parents,
We hope this message finds you well and filled with anticipation for the upcoming school year. The time has come for us to welcome our students back to campus, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for Open House for each of our school buildings on Wednesday, August 16, with students returning to the classroom on Monday, August 21. The halls of learning will once again be bustling with the energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm that our students bring, and we can’t wait to embark on this new journey together.
As we prepare to welcome our students back, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. We’ve made some changes to the traffic flow on campus to ensure a smoother and safer arrival process for everyone. We recommend taking a few moments to familiarize yourself with these changes and perhaps even practice your morning drive before the first day. This way, you’ll be well-prepared to navigate the new traffic patterns.
For those whose children ride the bus, rest assured that we have everything under control, and there’s no need to worry about it. Our bus routes are planned to ensure a seamless journey to and from school for our bus riders. But of course, we anticipate some hiccups along the way there too.
Over the summer break, our dedicated team has been hard at work, making numerous improvements to our campus. From enhancements inside our classrooms to beautifying the outdoor spaces, we’re excited to unveil the positive changes that will greet your children as they step onto campus. We believe that a conducive and inspiring environment plays a crucial role in the learning experience, and we’re committed to providing the best for our students.
We understand that questions or concerns may arise, and we want you to know that our building offices are open and ready to assist you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any queries or feedback you might have. Our team is here to ensure that your transition back to school is as smooth as possible.
The start of a new school year is always a time of excitement, possibility, and growth. We’re thrilled to have the privilege of being a part of your child’s educational journey and are eagerly looking forward to all the amazing moments that the upcoming year will bring.

The Hemlock Board of Education is excited to embark on a new phase, with numerous projects currently underway and many more planned for the future. The district is in the final stages of completing phase one, with the exception of the K.C. Ling Gymnasium. Construction for the gymnasium is scheduled to start later this month and will continue throughout the fall and winter until its completion. #PULLTHESLED
