What a beautiful evening we had on Wallace Field this past Friday as we honored the 1985 Girls' Track Team and inducted them into the 2024 Hemlock Hall of Fame during halftime of the football game.
Before the game, they gathered with Hemlock Public School District staff for a fun tailgating event at the Lockwood STEM Center and joined our Multimedia students for a special podcast interview. It was a night filled with celebration, memories, and Huskie pride! 🏆🎙️

🍽 The middle school cafeteria buzzed with excitement on Wednesday as students sampled two new dishes: Ginger Soy Glazed Tofu with Spicy Cucumbers from Korea and Jamaican Jerk Roasted Chicken with Callaloo from the Caribbean. After all the tasting, the Caribbean dish came out on top with 59% of the vote and will be featured on next month's menu.
This event was a true team effort. Zach Bauer, our beloved Director of Dining Services, teamed up with his mom, Mindy—the Meal Maven at Essexville-Hampton Public Schools—and Tony, the Food Dude from Swartz Creek Public Schools, along with our incredible dining staff to deliver a delicious and educational experience for our curious middle schoolers. It’s a delicious reminder of how collaboration can make great things happen.
