After a fierce couple days of competition in Houston, our students have powered through and earned their spot on the playoff bracket for their field. Now, in true underdog fashion, they’re going up against Alliance Team One in a classic David vs. Goliath matchup.
We know our team has the grit, smarts, and drive to rise to the challenge—win or lose, we’re proud of how far they’ve come and how boldly they represent Hemlock on the world stage.

Our students came, saw, and (mostly) conquered day one—competing with and against the best teams from across the globe. From navigating intense matches to problem-solving on the fly, our Huskies are representing Hemlock with brains, heart, and grit.

Mr. Sparado began his career with Hemlock Public School District in 1963 as the band director—back when teachers started their day picking up students and ended it by driving them home. Over nearly three decades, he wore many hats: bus driver, band director, elementary and middle school principal, and several other administrative roles. He was a true Hemlock legend.
