Friday Night Lights just got better—meet Dallas.

As we prep lighting for future night track meets, we’re testing a supervised play zone for our elementary & middle school students—an auxiliary game at the game. Because let’s be honest: kids have always treated the pavilion like a NASCAR track, occasionally clipping the dad balancing three Diet Cokes and a nacho… and yes, splashing that puddle next to the brave mom in white pants (in October—bold choice).

Here’s the plan:
Where: Northwest of Wallace Field
Who: Elementary & middle school students
Supervision: Dallas, HHS senior (and all-around good guy)
Gear: Please don’t bring balls—we’ll provide them
Parents: We still encourage you to watch the game with your kids; this is just a helpful option

We’re learning as we go, so thanks for the grace. Brighter bulbs are literally on the way. See you under the lights!

Friday Night Lights: Parking & Shuttles 🏈
Home opener is Friday, September 12th — kickoff 7:00 PM at Wallace Field/Krueger Track, as the Huskie Pack takes on the Carrollton Cavaliers. We’re expecting a big crowd, so here’s the game plan:

When we are done: Our long-term parking will stretch from the Water Tower to the Historical Society, with overflow by the North Concession Stand and other school buildings.

Right now: Some of that future parking is unavailable while we build the Performing Arts Center. Thanks for your patience while we make Hemlock even better.

Shuttles: We’ll run free shuttles from the outer lots to the gates from approximately 6:40 PM until kickoff.

Pro tips: Arrive a little early, carpool when you can, and follow signage and staff instructions. Accessible drop-off is available near the main gate.

We know parking isn’t the main event—thanks for rolling with us while we finish the upgrades you’ll love. See you under the lights.

Let's Go Huskies!

Students can now come in through the Legend Gymnasium front doors and walk “Mainstreet” to class. The weight room and wrestling room are next, opening soon once punch-list items are complete. Thank you, Huskie community, for helping make this possible. #LegendGymnasium #BetterTogether #HuskiePack

A Day for Dax is coming up on Saturday, September 27th at Tommy's Express Car Wash on State Street in Saginaw. Don't miss this great opportunity to honor Dax's memory while supporting students.

All day long a portion of every wash will go to a scholarship fund to support students from Hemlock High School who are going into the trades. With each wash, you're helping build futures.

We were honored to host Hemlock Hall of Fame inductee and longtime community champion John Mulvaney recently at the Legend Gymnasium. Earlier this summer, John recorded the entry message that will greet visitors—a fitting voice for a space built by and for our community to support our students. Construction is nearing completion; students will be using the facility very soon.

Safety is more than a priority—it’s part of our culture at Hemlock Public School District.

Recently, Retired Chief Doyle spent time at our Early Childhood Center, equipping staff with training on how to respond in an emergency. In addition, our buildings run emergency drills to ensure that staff knows exactly what to do if the unexpected happens.

From proactive training to practice drills, we’re committed to keeping our Huskie Pack safe—and we’re grateful for leaders like Chief Doyle who continue to serve our school and community.

🌟 In our Student of the Month series, we spotlight a standout student each week from one of our four school buildings. This week, we're heading over to Hemlock Elementary School.

Lincoln Brooks is a kind and caring kindergartener in Mrs. Klopf’s class. He is always ready to help his friends, join in classroom activities, and make everyone feel included. Lincoln’s friendly attitude and helpful ways make him a great example for others, and he brings a happy and positive feeling to our school.

Way to represent our #HemlockHuskies, Lincoln. 🌟
