We at Hemlock Public School District are here to serve our students, families, and community. COVID-19 is temporary but will likely have lasting implications for education for years to come. As we start preparing for fall 2020, everyone is dealing with this situation differently and has different expectations. More than ever, we are ready to provide the type of education and environment that you want for your children. As a school district, we are prepared to provide face-to-face instruction, remote learning, or a hybrid model next fall. Running with the Angels
Many of you may already know, but it is with a heavy heart that we share the news that the Huskie Pack lost one of its most beloved in the earlier hours of yesterday. Bill Agresta was a beloved teacher, coach, friend, and champion of students. He now runs with the Angels.
He was an enduring fixture at our high school long after his retirement from teaching, where he could be often found collecting and organizing cans for student scholarship funds that he worked to generate and distribute annually. They don't make them like Bill anymore, he was surely a one of a kind and will be missed by all that knew him.
When we have more information I am sure we will share it with you.

United Way helping serve dinner to those at the temporary shelter at Hemlock High School last night.
The home of the Huskies has turned into a home for those impacted by the flooding in our area. Last night, we housed 50+ people within the high school and many more in campers and in the parking lot. Right now, we are all set with toiletries (thanks, Sam Turner, Haltom family, and others), perishable good, and meals for the day. We will accept non-perishable items like bottled water, snacks, etc. but right now it looks like we have enough to get us through the day. We are overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness of our community. At this time, we are not able to accept any more items. We have dinner tonight, breakfast and lunch covered tomorrow, and enough munchies to make it through the rest of 2020. The only need we may have is a fourth person for our 2 AM euchre tournament. #thankyou

Our foodservice continues to provide nutritional meals to students 18 and under or individuals with disabilities up to age 26. We have drive-up pick up from 10 AM -12 noon on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on the Eastside of Hemlock Middle School at door #29 and deliveries upon request (989) 642-4700. Note: It's not steak we are serving but we got your attention.
Raycbolz Memorial Library Summer Reading Program is right around the corner!
Attention SENIORS-On Thursday May 14th when you pick up your caps and gowns we will be collecting books and Chrome books with chargers from those SENIORS that are currently passing ALL CLASSES. If you are not passing a class you are still active in the class and are expected to continue to complete your assignments until you are passing that class to earn your credit. I will see you Thursday and remember I will be taking a cap and gown picture of you when you pick them up.

Our last administrative meeting had a tropical theme with the grand prize of lunch from Maple Grille for the best outfit.
