Congratulations to Coach Hyatt and our Boys Varsity Soccer team on a gritty MHSAA Districts Game 1 win! The Huskies traveled to take on the Laingsburg Wolves and came out on top, 1–0. A true battle of wills—disciplined defense, relentless effort, and the Huskie Pack found a way. Proud of this group. Onward.

Mrs. Hammis’ kindergarten class had a blast during Fire Safety Week 🔥🚒 Students learned about checking smoke detectors, choosing a family meeting spot, and the importance of “stop, drop, and roll.” Then it was time for the best part — exploring the fire truck and testing out the hose. 💦

A big thank-you to our local firefighters for helping our youngest Huskies learn how to stay safe.

📚 Our 3rd and 4th graders put their library skills to the test during a library scavenger hunt at K.C. Ling Elementary. ✨

Using their Chromebooks, students searched the library website by subject, author, and call number—then set out to find those books on the shelves and record what they discovered. A fun way to learn, explore, and build confidence as independent readers.

#ThrowbackThursday 🏈 We were honored to have members of the undefeated 1974 Hemlock football team join us Friday night for the ribbon cutting of Wallace Field and Krueger Track.

Having played under Coach Bob Wallace and Coach Don Krueger, it was only fitting that they helped dedicate the facilities that now bear their names. A special moment celebrating legacy and leadership.

Arts for All 🎨 It’s Hemlock’s Free Night this week at the Saginaw Art Museum + Gardens.

Any student or staff member from Hemlock Public School District—plus their families—can visit the museum for free tomorrow, Thursday, October 9th. Students can also sign up for a free Arts for All membership, receive a notebook and pencil, enjoy a few hands-on activities, and explore the museum and gardens. 🌿

Drop in anytime after 3:00 PM and enjoy a creative night out with the family.

We enjoy hands on learning opportunities, using manipulatives and preferred tasks, to help students in Mrs. Wilson's classroom get a deeper understanding of equal groups, and sharing equally when tackling multiplication and division.

🧠 Juniors Laini Wardin and Ryleigh Bain, Medical Careers students at the Saginaw Career Complex, got creative while exploring how parts of the body function.

Using their knowledge of cell organelles, they came up with clever everyday comparisons — like the “Lunch Lady,” representing the endoplasmic reticulum because both package and deliver (in this case, snacks and proteins).

We love seeing our Huskies bring learning to life in such imaginative ways.
