
Hemlock 6th grade girls played in a last minute Presidents Day tournament at the Cage in Swartz Creek on Saturday. They came in second place and represented the Huskies well! Congrats girls!


Congratulations to Chayton Ross, who qualified for the K of C Spelling Bee State Championships Sunday by finishing second. Chayton is the two - time defending state champ and is going for a three-peat!

New opportunity at SVSU for kids and adults interested in coding:
WeCode at Saginaw Valley State University is a FREE one-day weekend boot camp for beginners who would like to explore basics of coding using Sphero Programming. This camp is open to 5th – 12th graders and is being offered on Saturday, March 2nd and Saturday, March 9th (students may only attend ONE session). Additionally, a WeCode for Adults / Teachers (open to Adults ONLY and one parent per family please) will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019. Science Technology Engineering Art (design) Math. This project combines all five areas as our kids form teams to design and make a chair out of cardboard, duct tape and glue that will support each team member and Mrs. Kato or Mr. Keyser. Our 6th grade girls won back to back games yesterday in Swartz Creek. First game score was 23-7 and the second game was a nail biter with a 26-25 win over the Lady Cats of Grand Blanc. Lilly Martinez scored the wining basket and it was a true team effort. Lady Huskies were down by 11 in the first half and came back with the big win in the end.
