Have a terrific summer vacation! Remember--you can keep your learning fresh over the summer by reading books, using Freckle to work on your four core subjects, and using your brain to solve puzzles, riddles and other games. Just because school is not in session doesn't mean your brain has to go on vacation...

Our Peer 2 Peer students (under the direction of Jamie Otter and Jill Asiala) celebrated a year of helping each other. We are proud of our Peer to Peer members! Peer-to-peer programs are volunteer programs linking general education students, with students who have disabilities, in order to support them throughout the school day. The pairing of students leads to greater socialization and independence.

Mrs. Curtiss's students have worked all year composting garden soil and preparing to grow a variety of plants in their greenhouse. They now have a variety of plants started and nearly ready for transplant into family gardens add the school year winds down. Pictured here are two of several potato plants they have maturing in their greenhouse. Hands-on. Life skills. Horticulture. Responsibility. Science. There's lots to learn at HMS!!
