More ideas for how to be more involved in your child's education:
3. Broaden your child's understanding of the world by visiting malls, museums, parks, zoos, universities, sports stadiums, theaters, transportation facilities, farms, and local landmarks.
4. Make learning relevant by encouraging activities that use what kids learn at school. Encourage kids to count money; make shopping lists; calculate costs, sales prices, and taxes; read menus and newspapers; and write letters.

Get ready for a scary time as the HMS PTO sponsors the Trail of Terrors. See the flyer below for more information!

1. Talk to your child daily about school activities and experiences.
2. Talk with teachers regularly -- even when no problems exist.

Columbus Day

SVSU Nursing students spent the day with us today, talking to students about health-related topics like diet, exercise and wellness and seeing what it's like to help middle schoolers learn.

When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating.

This week's PAWS Award winners are: (from L to R) Hunter Emmendorfer, Ryan Atkinson, Mitchell Radosa, Spence Burns, Ella Kocsis, Addison Stockford, Noah Van Haitsma, and Douglas Wahl. Congratulations to all. Great job!
