Hey Huskies!

Mrs. Slominski’s class watching “lightning thief” movie for a compare and contrast to the novel we read! Love this was our last afternoon together!

Throwback Thursday, April 3. Hoping all is well with you!

Food Service will continue providing breakfast and lunch bags from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm during spring break. This will occur on Monday, March 30, Wednesday, April 1, and Friday, April 3 from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. Parents please stay in your vehicles, we will have staff bring it out to them from door #29.
It might seem simply like a continuation, and maybe not what you had planned, but here's hoping you enjoy Spring Break. Enjoy time with family, get outside and have some fun, and send Mr. Keyser a picture or two of what you're doing during Break. Keyser@hemlockps.com

We had a "virtual staff meeting" this morning with all HMS teachers! It was great to see each of them and hear each other's voices. We all miss being at school and seeing our students and each other. One topic of discussion was "How are our students doing in terms of meeting learning expectations and preparing for the future when we return to school?" The answers varied, but overall our kids are doing very well using online learning. Please remember--there is work to do on the part of both teachers and students to prepare for when we return--we need everyone engaged in learning to make this work. #hemlockteachersonthejobforkidsnomatterwhat #hemlockstudentsarecontinuingtolearn

Did you know that the learning hasn't stopped at Hemlock Middle School even though we aren't able to physically attend? We have teachers and students working every day to meet expectations, prepare for the future and get ready for our return to school! #hemlockteachersonthejobforkidsnomatterwhat

Rylee Sullivan just reached 3,000,000 words read on Accelerated Reader! Great job! What a great way to spend some time in this break from school.

Think Spring! Social distancing doesn't mean you can't get outdoors and enjoy the day!

Well..we are now 3 days into online learning at HMS. How are we doing? If you have questions for individual teachers, please help your child to contact those teachers via email. We want this online learning experience to be as positive as possible for all of our students. But we are relatively new at this, so if there are problems, we want to iron them out ASAP. Teachers are standing by, prepared to help. In the meantime, do your best to to stay safe and healthy!
Mr. Chase and I are ready to slay the day. #MACUL2020

Did you know, we are an Ok2Say school? See something, say something.
