Our MS State Finals 2nd place PomPon team was honored at tonight’s board of education meeting. Great job ladies!!


Congratulations to Chayton Ross, runnerup today at the K of C Spelling Bee regional. Chayton, 2 time defending state champ, advances to the state finals (again!).

We are putting together arrangements for a limited number of girls in grades 5-8 to attend the Girls Day Out event at Delta College. See the attached flyer for more info. Bus transportation would be provided to and from Delta. Limited bus seating available. More info to follow. We will provide means for girls to opt in--we have seating for 45 on the bus and will need at least 2 parent chaperones to make the trip. More next week on how to opt in to the trip--please talk about this with your daughter(s) in the next few days so that when opt-in time comes around, they are prepared.

Seventh and eighth grade boys basketball practices for Friday are cancelled.


Peer 2 Peer- will be selling flowers for Valentine’s day. Sales will be during lunch today, and Friday. Flowers are $2.00 each and will be delivered on Valentine’s day.


Reminder-No School February 12!

Middle School Theater- First practice will be today 2:45-5:00.


Valentine’s Dance- Student Council has scheduled the next middle school dance for February 15th. We still need chaperones for the dance.


8th Grade- Hemlock High School Freshman Open House will be held tonight, February 7th @7:30 p.m.. This will give each of you an opportunity to see Hemlock High School, see the class offerings in the building and meet some high school students. This meeting will take place in the High School Auditorium.


Powerlifting- Congratulations to Robert Knapik. He had his best meet of the season and placed 5th in his division. He lifted a total weight of 590 lbs. To qualify for states he needs to be able to lift a total weight of 655 lbs., or finish in the top 3 at the next meet. Good Luck Robert!!
