The little writers in Mrs. Klopf's kindergarten class are officially published authors! Each student created a page focused on what they want to be when they grow up culminating in a wonderful book full of hopes and dreams. We'd like to thank the kindergarten families and especially the Hemlock Pep Club for sponsoring this amazing project, allowing each student to take home a copy of their very own.

Today at our very special Pass the Spirit event, the Class of 2025 Huskies handed the baton to the Class of 2037 - this year's kindergarteners. Both groups crossed the field to meet at the fifty-yard line where seniors graciously gifted each kindergartener a class tee shirt. The excitement in our Little Huskies' faces was plain to see and we can just imagine each of them in their cap and gown someday (we're not crying, you're crying).

The letters 'Q' and 'U' officially tied the knot today, with Ms. Kenny officiating and our Young Fives classes all in attendance. This annual event, complete with wedding cake and dance reception, means that the Young Fivers have mastered all of their letter sounds. Congratulations, Q and U!

Music to our ears! This evening we held our Young Fives and Kindergarten Spring Concerts and it was plain to see how hard these kiddos have worked on their songs. From The Itsy-Bitsy Spider to You Are My Sunshine, this performance was pitch-perfect.

On May 3rd Hemlock's youngest Lego League teams competed at Calgary Baptist's RoboKings Expo, with one of the three teams even bringing home a trophy for coding. At the event, these kindergarteners really impressed by presenting to judges, operating the RoboKings high school robot, making balloon-powered cars, and explaining code which they had written themselves. Their team shirt was even designed by a student. We're incredibly proud of each of them for their hard work and for representing the exciting future of STEM at Hemlock.
