We were excited to kick off our first Peer-to-Peer meeting of the 2026–2027 school year last week! Led by Mrs. Wilson, we were honored to have Mrs. Tack, Mrs. Pratt, and Mrs. Duran join us for a fun-filled time together. 💙

Little Poms, BIG SPIRIT! 📣
Last week, our 1st–4th grade Huskies had their moment in the spotlight during Little Poms Night at halftime of the varsity football game! ✨ We loved seeing our youngest Huskies take the field, show off their moves, and cheer alongside our varsity poms team!
A huge shoutout to our Varsity Poms team for organizing and leading this special tradition each year! 💙 This program is about so much more than learning a routine. It creates a wonderful opportunity for team building, mentorship, and connection between our younger students and high school athletes. Our Little Poms get to learn from positive role models, build confidence, and feel part of something bigger, while our varsity athletes have the chance to lead, encourage, and inspire the next generation of Huskies.

Our 3rd graders traveled back in time yesterday! The Castle Museum visited K.C. Ling Elementary as part of their Mobile Outreach Program, bringing Michigan history right into our classrooms!
Students learned about Fur Traders and French Voyagers and explored an important part of Michigan’s past through this engaging, hands-on lesson. What a fun way to bring history to life!

This week, we're shining the spotlight on the leader of our Huskie pack, Mr. Snider!
With 19 years in education, including two years at K.C. Ling, Mr. Snider brings a wealth of experience, a passion for helping students grow, and a strong belief in the power of relationships. Before stepping into school leadership, he spent 13 years in the classroom teaching history and English and then moved on to become an athletic director and principal. His inspiration? A high school history teacher and coach who made a lasting impact on students, along with his grandpa, a longtime principal who showed him what it means to make meaningful connections.
Ask Mr. Snider what his favorite part of working at Ling is, and his answer is simple: the people! He loves being part of a welcoming school community where staff support one another and put students and families first. To him, being a Huskie means going the extra mile, leading by example, and always looking for ways to get better.
When he's not busy leading our school, you might find him golfing, enjoying sporting events, listening to '90s and 2000s rap, or spending time with his wife, Dani, and their two daughters, Lenni and Rori. He's a Michigan sports fan (Go Blue! 💛💙), a history lover, a beef jerky fan, and a man who runs on coffee and Diet Coke. Just don't offer him ice cream… apparently, that's a pass!
Perhaps our favorite response was the advice he'd give our students: “You bring value to our world just by being you.”
