Our 1st graders had a gourd time at Grandma’s Pumpkin Patch today! 🎃 From fall fun to making memories with friends, it was a perfect day for our little Huskies to enjoy the magic of the season! We’re thankful for opportunities like these that make learning outside the classroom so special!

These Huskies earned a special Fort Day Reward by filling their class reward jar through following expectations, making responsible choices, and being great classroom citizens!
Hard work deserves a little fun, and these students got to celebrate their success by building forts and enjoying some well-deserved time together! Way to go, Huskies! Keep up the great work!

This week, we're shining the spotlight on the leader of our Huskie pack, Mr. Snider!
With 19 years in education, including two years at K.C. Ling, Mr. Snider brings a wealth of experience, a passion for helping students grow, and a strong belief in the power of relationships. Before stepping into school leadership, he spent 13 years in the classroom teaching history and English and then moved on to become an athletic director and principal. His inspiration? A high school history teacher and coach who made a lasting impact on students, along with his grandpa, a longtime principal who showed him what it means to make meaningful connections.
Ask Mr. Snider what his favorite part of working at Ling is, and his answer is simple: the people! He loves being part of a welcoming school community where staff support one another and put students and families first. To him, being a Huskie means going the extra mile, leading by example, and always looking for ways to get better.
When he's not busy leading our school, you might find him golfing, enjoying sporting events, listening to '90s and 2000s rap, or spending time with his wife, Dani, and their two daughters, Lenni and Rori. He's a Michigan sports fan (Go Blue! 💛💙), a history lover, a beef jerky fan, and a man who runs on coffee and Diet Coke. Just don't offer him ice cream… apparently, that's a pass!
Perhaps our favorite response was the advice he'd give our students: “You bring value to our world just by being you.”

We’re excited to share a few pictures from the kick-off of our fall tutoring sessions, which began this week! Our students are putting in the extra effort, building skills, growing their confidence, and working toward success. 💙
A special thank you to Mrs. Langworthy for organizing these sessions and making these opportunities possible for our students. We are also incredibly grateful for our amazing teachers and paraprofessionals who give their time, energy, and encouragement to continue molding these young Huskies and helping set them up for success.

Our Huskies learned valuable fire safety tips and were reminded how important it is to be prepared, know what to do in an emergency, and stay safe. We’re so grateful for the time our local firefighters spent teaching and talking with our students!
