Hemlock Community Finale Watch Party
Hemlock, it is time to come together and cheer on one of our own!
After an incredible run on MasterChef: Global Gauntlet, Hemlock’s own Jake Kelley has made it all the way to the finale, and we think that calls for a hometown watch party!
Join us Wednesday, September 16, as we gather as a community to watch Jake compete in the finale and celebrate an incredible journey that has given our hometown a whole lot to cheer about.
Jake has cooked under pressure, survived elimination challenges, led teams, impressed some of the biggest names in the culinary world, and earned his place among the final three competitors.
Now, all eyes are on Jake.

MasterChef begins at 8:00 PM
Hemlock Public School District
Weather and conditions permitting, we plan to gather outdoors on the west side of the Hemlock Performing Arts Center, in front of the Reg Rye Learning Center.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family, friends, and plenty of Huskie spirit.
If Mother Nature or site conditions do not cooperate, no worries. We will move the celebration indoors to one of our gymnasiums.
Either way, the party is on.
The event is completely FREE and open to the community.
We will share final details regarding the exact location, arrival time, parking, and other event information as we get closer to Wednesday evening.
Jake has already given Hemlock plenty to be proud of. There is something pretty special about watching someone from your hometown step onto a national stage and compete at this level.
Now we get to experience the final chapter together.
One hometown. One big screen. One final cook.
Let’s pack the place and show Jake that there is an entire community back home pulling for him.
Let’s go, Jake!

Sawdust Days Court 2026
Last night was the annual Hemlock Sawdust Days Court Pageant! Children from Y5–4th grade in the Hemlock area were invited to participate, introducing themselves and answering a fun random question from the basket.

This month we are focusing on Respect! How many challenges can you complete?
Additional ways to practice respect:
Play a game where everyone practices taking turns.
Visit the library and practice library manners.
Make a "kind words" poster together.
Discuss what respect looks and sounds like.
