We had a special visitor in our classrooms today! Senator Kevin Daley stopped by to spend some time with our students and share a few great stories.

We’re kicking off Spring Break in style with a visit from Kona Ice! The Kona Ice truck will be at K.C. Ling Elementary School on Thursday, March 26th, and we hope all of our Huskies will join in the fun.

Mrs. Wieland’s 4th graders were plugged in and powered up for Science Education Day! Students rolled up their sleeves and learned how electrical outlets work by building their own models. From wires to circuits, they explored the science behind the switches and gained a hands-on understanding of how electricity safely flows through our homes. 💡

We love seeing our Huskies spark curiosity, ask questions, and dive into real-world learning experiences. The future is bright!

Earmuffs on and recess fun in full swing! 🧣❄️ Today we’re celebrating National Earmuff Day while our Huskies bundle up and make the most of snowy recess days. We’re already dreaming of the day when the snow melts, coats come off, and recess is back on bare ground—but until then, the fun (and the earmuffs) continue! 💙🐾

Our students #BringTheMagic even after school! Some of our amazing 3rd graders spent time during after-school tutoring reading with our kindergartners, helping them practice their reading skills and build confidence. Not only were our younger Huskies working on their literacy, but our older students were showing wonderful leadership, patience, and kindness.

Learning is even more fun when we do it together!

Buddy Reading Fun for March is Reading Month! 📚 Mrs. Kaczmarczyk's and Mrs. Siler’s classes teamed up for some special buddy reading time as part of our March is Reading Month celebration! Students partnered up to share stories, practice their reading skills, and enjoy some great books together.

It’s always wonderful to see our Huskies helping one another grow as readers while building friendships along the way. Way to go, readers!

Our 1st graders had a moo-velous day on their field trip to the Midland Center for the Arts! They enjoyed a fun performance of Click, Clack, Moo, bringing the beloved story to life right before their eyes. There were lots of laughs, excited faces, and maybe even a few students wondering if farm animals really can type!

After such a big day of learning and fun, the ride home looked a little different… 😴🚌 Some very tired first graders caught a quick nap on the bus after their adventure. What a fantastic day of stories, smiles, and memories!

Our Peer 2 Peer students are rolling out something new… a Snack Cart for staff! 🛒🍿 Students recently took their cart around the building selling snacks to our staff as part of a new fundraiser. This hands-on opportunity helps students practice important life and job skills like communication, handling money, teamwork, and customer service.

It was wonderful to see our students confidently interacting with staff while building real-world skills and having fun along the way. Thank you to our staff for supporting this great new project! We’re so proud of our Peer 2 Peer students!

This week is National School Social Worker Week, and we are so grateful for the incredible support we receive from Paige Gilbert and Danielle Perry! Our 4th graders are powering up their learning at the Lockwood STEM Center! Today, on National Simplify Your Life Day, our students discovered that even the most complex technology starts with something simple — a circuit! By connecting wires, batteries, and bulbs, they saw firsthand how a few basic components can work together to create something amazing.

Learning is electric when curiosity leads the way! We love seeing our Huskies problem-solve, collaborate, and bring science to life. 💡
