100 Days

K.C. Ling Elementary School proudly celebrated the 100th day of school with a fun-filled, meaningful day of learning that brought students and staff together to mark an important milestone. Classrooms were buzzing with creativity as students participated in a wide variety of themed 100th day activities designed to build math, literacy, and problem-solving skills.

Adding to the excitement, the school looked a little “older” for the day. Many students dressed up as if they were 100 years old, complete with gray hair, glasses, canes, and classic outfits. The playful spirit matched the purpose of the day: recognizing how much students have learned and grown over the first 100 days of the school year.

From counting collections and writing about what they would do at 100 years old to building structures with 100 items and completing fitness challenges, every grade level found creative ways to celebrate being “100 days smarter.”

Principal Cory Snider shared his pride in the students and staff, “The 100th day of school is about more than just a number. It is a chance to reflect on how much our students have learned, how hard they have worked, and how far they have come. Seeing our building full of ‘100-year-olds’ and engaged learners was a great reminder that learning can be both joyful and meaningful.”

The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and strong learning, reinforcing K.C. Ling Elementary’s commitment to making school a place where students feel excited to grow each and every day.
