K.C. Ling Elementary School is excited to kick off the new year with a strong focus on learning, engagement, and schoolwide celebration. As we move into the second half of the school year, students, staff, and families have many meaningful and fun-filled experiences to look forward to.

January will bring Math Month, a time when students will strengthen problem-solving skills, build confidence with numbers, and experience math in engaging and creative ways across grade levels. This academic focus sets the tone for continued growth and achievement throughout the year.

Our partnership with the PTO continues to enhance the school experience for students and families. In February, families are invited to come together for a PTO-sponsored Family Dance, an event that has quickly become a favorite community tradition. March will once again spotlight our always-popular Reading Month, encouraging a love of literacy through themed activities, guest readers, and schoolwide excitement around books.

During the spring, students in grades 3 and 4 will participate in the M-STEP. Our staff works diligently to ensure students feel prepared, supported, and confident as they demonstrate their learning.

As the school year comes to a close, students will celebrate with our much-anticipated Field Day, a fun-filled event that highlights teamwork, school spirit, and joyful movement.

Throughout the year, attendance remains at the forefront of our work at K.C. Ling Elementary. We know that consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in student success, and we appreciate our families’ ongoing commitment to making school a daily priority.

We are incredibly proud of our students and look forward to all the amazing things they will accomplish in the months ahead. The remainder of the year promises continued learning, memorable experiences, and a strong sense of community at K.C. Ling Elementary.
