From December 6 to December 17, Hemlock High School’s Book Club is running the seventh annual pajama drive service project. This project is sponsored by Scholastic Books. Our students and teachers donate new pajamas and Scholastic will donate books to match them. We have already collected more than 100 pairs of pajamas this year. The pajamas will be delivered to the Underground Railroad of Saginaw.
Mrs. Whitford said, “I’m so proud of my book club members and the students and parents of Hemlock High School. Their overwhelming spirit of giving will keep many children warm and cozy this winter.”
Teaching students generosity, kindness, and unselfishness is important to teach our young leaders at Hemlock. Jackie Chan once said “Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person's life” . Guiding and educating our students on how to be a positive start in your community is an important goal at Hemlock High School.
