Students participated in a Classroom Olympic Speed Skating Event. After discussing friction and it's role in how well our materials would slide across the floor, our skaters helped us to time-test how quickly each material could move around our track. Students then discussed how we could improve our skates, and if there was time, added those improvements. After improvements such as adding straps, students cut as much as 10 seconds off of their skating time!

Lately, there has been a lot of congestion in the parking lot for our end-of-day student pick-ups. For the safety of everyone, as well as to minimize the frustration that crowded parking lots cause, it would be greatly appreciated if you could utilize the designated parking spaces and avoid the temptation to create your own. There have been several concerns expressed recently, and it is going to take all of us working together to help resolve this. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation!
