Meet Diane and John Mulvaney. John serves as the Treasurer of the Hemlock Sports Boosters, and together Diane and John volunteer to support Hemlock student athletes. They shared that participating at athletic events allows them to give back and pay it forward to Hemlock Schools and the students they serve.
Diane and John have children who are Hemlock alumni and participated in football, track and field, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball, and wrestling. While their children are now grown, they continue to volunteer because of their love for the Hemlock community and their desire to support student athletes.
The Hemlock Sports Boosters and the Athletic Department host hundreds of events each year, and Diane and John shared that staffing these events is a great way to volunteer and support athletes. They noted that opportunities exist before, during, after, and on off days, often requiring only a few hours of time.
