Meet Sarah Pratt, a dedicated Sports Boosters trustee whose passion for supporting Hemlock Athletics shines through in everything she does. Sarah is the proud parent of a Hemlock graduate from the Class of 2025 who competed in football, basketball, and baseball, and she currently has a fourth grader at Hemlock who is involved in youth sports programs. Her connection to Hemlock Athletics spans both past and present, strengthening her commitment to the students and programs she supports.
Sarah originally began volunteering as a school of choice family, making the 20 minute drive to Hemlock while her son was still unable to drive himself. What started as a way to pass time during practices and games quickly turned into something much more meaningful. Through volunteering, Sarah discovered a welcoming environment and a sense of fulfillment that comes from supporting student athletes who give so much to their teams and school. She continues to volunteer because, as she puts it, it is all for the kids. With Hemlock students throughout her family and friend groups, and strong relationships built through Sports Boosters, volunteering has become both personal and rewarding.
When asked why she encourages others to volunteer on game days, Sarah shared, “It’s such a fun way to be part of the action and support the kids. You also get to meet amazing people. Some of my closest friends are from Sports Boosters now and it just feels good to be part of something bigger than yourself.” A natural helper at heart, Sarah values the friendships, memories, and sense of community that come with being involved.
Volunteers like Sarah Pratt play a vital role in creating positive game day experiences and supporting Hemlock student athletes. The Huskie community is incredibly thankful for her time, energy, and continued dedication to Hemlock Athletics.
