In recent years, the success of the Hemlock Girls’ Soccer Program has been fueled by grit and determination—and this year’s team built on that foundation from day one. With 14 different goal scorers and a final record of 9-8-1, the Huskies have much to be proud of and even more to look forward to in the near future.
The team matched up with six ranked opponents and faced five programs that finished the season as District Champions or better. In these competitive matchups, the girls proved that when playing sound, cohesive soccer, Hemlock can go toe-to-toe with some of the top teams in the state.
Beyond the field, the team bonded through weekly dinners, post-game meals, refereeing youth rec games, ice cream outings, and long bus rides that strengthened our unity and spirit.
This year’s senior class—Megan Tilot, Maddie Wenzel, Lexie Rump, Izzy Curry, and Izzy Krueger—played a vital role in the team’s development. Their leadership and example set the tone for the underclassmen and helped lay the groundwork for the future of the program.
