Always Giving Back

The Hemlock Sports Boosters recognized their yearly booster volunteer who has supported the school and student athletics over many years. This person dedicates many hours and talent to make the Sports Boosters a successful organization in providing uniforms and equipment that you see our athletes using every day. This year’s award was given to Joan Hoffman.

Joan was involved in the boosters while her children attended Hemlock, helping whenever asked with concessions, youth basketball, youth softball, and the walk of fame. Joan served on the booster’s board for 5 years, and was always the voice of reason when deciding issues as president for three years. Joan is still involved with the boosters today after her three kids are out of college. Scott Schaffer, current Booster President, said “Joan set a high bar for future booster presidents to achieve her level of dedication and passion for Hemlock Athletics.”

Athletic Director Cory Snider added, “The booster club is such an important organization here at Hemlock Public School District and people like Joan and all the other volunteers are the reason why we are able to support our student-athletes to the highest degree. Their dedication to the success of our students and community is a shining example of what Hemlock is all about. Congratulations Joan.”
