kasey

The newest member to our HMS Huskie Pack may only have started a few months ago, but she is already making a large impact on our students.

Ms. Kasey Jones started her working career on the campus of Alma College, working in several different departments.  She worked for Salvation Army SHARE summer camp and Bay Shore traveling day camp, then on to Hemlock High School where she did her student teaching and now has come to us as our MTSS/STEAM teacher.

Kasey is originally from Midland, Michigan and is the youngest sibling of three.  She has one brother, one sister and loves spending time with her three nieces and three nephews.

One of her proudest moments was when she finished her last college class and knowing that she had finished in only four years. The program was a four and a half year program, so to finish early was a proud moment for her due to how hard and fast paced the program was at Alma.

Kasey has known that she wanted to be a teacher since she was 5 years old.  She loves to read when she has time and loves to spend time outside in the yard and camping at Ludington State Park (which just happens to be her favorite) with her family and friends.  Kasey is a huge music lover and sings/plays piano and clarinet for fun when she has the time.  Kids and music are truly her 2 main passions.

Beverly Lewis is her favorite author and her favorite quote is “With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts”, Eleanor Roosevelt.

When asked if there is one thing that she could change about the world what would it be?  She had this to say …“I would want peace in this world, where there is no fighting, no bullying and no wars.”

Kaseys’ favorite thing about HMS is how friendly everyone is and the students are excited to learn and have fun doing projects that are STEAM related.

We are proud to have Ms. Jones as part of our HMS Huskie Pack!
