Hemlock, MI - On Monday, March 7, Hemlock High School Chief Science Officers, Ana R. and Ashlynn W. welcomed sixteen 8th graders from St. Peter and St. Johns parochial schools to the Lockwood Stem Center. Nazir Jairazbhoy and Oliver Zemanek from HSC gave a great presentation about how they use STEM and showed students that they use STEM everyday. Students were then able to participate in a variety of STEM related activities. Ana said, “It was a great success! We were shocked and excited about how many kids were truly interested in getting more involved in STEM opportunities at Hemlock. It was definitely worth the amount of work put in to arrange everything and I am extremely proud of how smoothly it went.”

“Sharing this facility with the community educating students about robotics and STEM education was the purpose of its construction. Giving these opportunities to the Hemlock community regardless of the school they attend is a principle idea in being #HemlockStrong.” Keith Green Hemlock High School Principal.
