On Wednesday, October 14, Hemlock Public School District hosted a community information session in the Larry Gariglio Theatre to discuss the two proposals appearing on the November 3rd ballot.

We moved the presentation to the theatre, set up seating for more than 80 people, and assembled a team of district leaders ready to share information and answer questions. Joining Superintendent Don Killingbeck were Principals Keith Green, Lori Gensch, and Cory Snider; Assistant Principal Amanda Sensabaugh; Director of Curriculum and Instruction Lindy Beckman; Director of Business Operations Denise Dowdell; and Board of Education members President Matthew Wesener and Trustees David Messing and Kaleigh Berent.

Approximately a dozen community members attended, and we appreciated the opportunity to visit with them, hear their questions, and share information about the district's plans.

Whether 12 people attend or 120, our commitment to transparency and keeping our community informed remains the same.

The presentation covered the two separate proposals, the Non-Homestead Operating Millage Renewal and the Bond Proposal, including school funding, facility needs, financial considerations, and what each proposal would mean for the district.

We recorded the session so that anyone unable to attend can hear the information firsthand and better understand what is on the ballot.

We encourage everyone to take the time to learn about the proposals, ask questions, and make an informed decision.
