Wildfire Pavilion

Friday nights at Wallace Field have always been about more than the scoreboard. They are about students, families, alumni, and community members coming together. Now, thanks to a partnership between Hemlock Public School District and Wildfire Credit Union, Huskie fans have another great place to do exactly that.

Hemlock Public School District is proud to officially recognize Wildfire Credit Union as the sponsor of the Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion, an upgraded fan experience located in the southwest corner of Don Krueger Track and Wallace Field.

The newly enhanced space transforms an existing area into an inviting gathering destination with improved seating and furnishings, landscaping, lighting, and other amenities designed to create a comfortable and unique place to experience events at Wallace Field.

Best of all, the Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion isn't an exclusive club or reserved seating area. It is designed for all home fans and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Every improvement we make around our campus starts with a simple question: how can we make the experience better for our students, families, and community?” Superintendent Dr. Don Killingbeck said. “The Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion is another example of taking a space and thinking differently about what it can become. We want people to come to Wallace Field and feel like they are part of something special. Wildfire Credit Union understood that vision and stepped up to help us make it happen.”

Wildfire Credit Union President and CEO Benjamin Denay said the partnership reflects Wildfire's commitment to the communities it serves.

“Strong communities are built when people have places to come together,” Wildfire Credit Union President and CEO Ben Denay said. “That’s what makes this partnership so exciting for us. There are exciting things happening in Hemlock, and the Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion will be a place where students, families, friends and neighbors can gather and share experiences together. We are proud to partner with Hemlock Public School District and invest in a space that will serve the entire community for years to come.”

The project is part of a broader effort by Hemlock Public School District to elevate the game-day experience at Wallace Field. Recent improvements throughout the athletic complex have focused not only on competition spaces, but also on creating places where people can gather, connect, and enjoy being part of the Huskie community.

Board of Education President Matt Wesener said partnerships like this allow the district to continue adding value to the campus and community.

“Great schools are built through strong relationships, and we are fortunate to have community partners who believe in what is happening at Hemlock,” Wesener said. “The Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion is a visible example of that partnership. It enhances our facilities, creates another great experience for our families and fans, and does it through collaboration with an organization that believes in investing in the communities it serves. We are extremely grateful to Wildfire Credit Union for being part of what we are building here.”

For Hemlock, the Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion represents something bigger than a physical improvement. It reflects the district's continued focus on creating memorable experiences and finding community partnerships that allow good ideas to become reality.

“We aren't interested in simply building things,” Killingbeck added. “We want to create experiences. When a family comes to a game, we want them to have options, find a place they enjoy, connect with other people, and want to come back. The Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion adds another layer to that experience, and we couldn't have done it without a great partner.”

The district is planning an official ribbon-cutting celebration for the Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion during Hemlock's Homecoming on Friday, October 2, at 6:30 p.m, ahead of the 7 PM kickoff at Wallace Field. Members of the Wildfire Credit Union team will also be on hand and are planning a special event at the Pavilion that evening as part of the Homecoming festivities.

Additional details regarding the ribbon cutting and Wildfire's Homecoming activities will be announced as the event approaches.

The Wildfire Credit Union Pavilion is already open for home events at Wallace Field. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, grab a seat, and experience one of the newest additions to the Huskie game-day experience.

Hemlock Public School District extends its sincere appreciation to Wildfire Credit Union for its sponsorship, partnership, and continued investment in the students, families, and community of Hemlock.

Great partners. Great spaces. Great experiences.
