Y5 and kindergarten students received new interactive displays in their classrooms last month.
Following an extensive evaluation period across all four buildings, a Samsung 86” WA86D Interactive Flat Panel was chosen as the classroom display of the future at Hemlock Elementary. Teachers and students enjoy the interactivity, screen size, and collaboration. The interactivity allows students to collaborate at the front of the classroom and also allows the teacher to teach from the front of the room. The bright 86” screen allows students to see the screen even if they are in the back of the classroom.
These improvements were self-installed by the Hemlock Technology Department. Alex Haltom, Director of Innovation, Technology, and Media Services, says, “While the evaluation period was long, we knew that by the end, we would have a product that the students, teachers, and tech team were happy to use.”
Stay tuned for more technology upgrades across the district!
