The first 10 days of school at K.C. Ling Elementary have been nothing short of impactful. The return of students has brought an unmistakable energy to the building, with routines being set, new friendships forming, and classrooms buzzing with learning. The excitement of students and staff working together has created a positive momentum that can be felt throughout the halls.
The new atmosphere for first graders in the building has been smooth, as they’ve quickly adapted to new routines and expectations. At the same time, our fourth graders have stepped up as leaders, taking ownership of the building and modeling what it means to be positive role models for younger students. This leadership has been especially evident in how they live out the Huskie PAWS expectations—practicing safety, acting responsibly, working together, and showing respect, which has set the tone for the entire school.
“We are off to such a great start,” said Principal Cory Snider. “The first days of school are about setting the tone, and our students and staff have really risen to the occasion. We want to keep this momentum going all year long, and one of the most important ways families can help is by making sure students are here every day. Daily attendance is critical for success and allows our kids to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.”
As K.C. Ling Elementary looks ahead, the school is committed to building on this strong foundation. With engaged students, dedicated staff, and supportive families, the first 10 days are just the beginning of what promises to be a successful and rewarding year.
