Hemlock Public School District is proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Lori Gensch as the new principal of Hemlock Middle School.

Mrs. Gensch has been a valued member of the Huskie Pack for nearly a decade, serving with distinction as principal of both Hemlock Elementary and K.C. Ling Elementary. Over the past two years, as our elementary programs expanded, she focused exclusively on leading K.C. Ling Elementary, continuing to foster a culture of excellence, care, and student achievement.

This leadership change follows an extensive principal search process for Hemlock Middle School and within our district. We received approximately 30 applications, 15 candidates submitted digital interviews, 7 participated in face-to-face screener interviews, and 3 finalists advanced to a comprehensive panel interview. Following the panel process, we thoughtfully evaluated both external and internal leadership options.

After careful consideration and collaboration with our leadership team, it became clear that the best choice was already within our Huskie family. Mrs. Gensch’s strong background in instructional leadership, her previous experience working directly with 5th-grade students, and her established relationships with many of the families currently at Hemlock Middle School make this transition a natural fit.

Board of Education President Matt Wesener added, "We are confident that her experience, dedication, and vision will serve our middle school students, staff, and community exceptionally well. We are excited for the future under her leadership."

As we look to the future, we are excited for the leadership Mrs. Gensch will bring to Hemlock Middle School and for the continued bright days ahead for our students, staff, and community.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Gensch on her new role!
