Building Bonds

We had a heartwarming and memorable morning at K.C. Ling Elementary recently as some of our Hemlock High School Varsity football players paid a special visit to our youngest students during drop-off time. The excitement was palpable as our student-athletes joined the elementary schoolers for breakfast and then headed to the gymnasium to join in on some fun.

Principal Gensch stated, “This not only fosters a sense of community within our schools but also serves as an inspiring example for our young learners. It's more than just a game; it's about nurturing the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and mentorship.” Third-grader Wyatt Lawrence added, “This was awesome.  I just want to hang out with them now.”

Thank you to our Hemlock Varsity football players for being outstanding role models, and to the K.C. Ling Elementary and Hemlock High School staff for facilitating this wonderful experience for our students. Together, we continue to build strong bonds within our Hemlock School District family. We are looking forward to welcoming more of the players each Friday for the remainder of the season.
