The Hemlock Public School District is proud to announce that the Varsity Girls’ Basketball Team has won the MHSAA Division 3 State Championship. The ladies demonstrated tremendous focus, dedication, hardworking, grit, and grace under pressure throughout the tournament.

"We are all so tremendously proud of the girls' basketball team. They are a shining example of what great character, work ethic, leadership, and of course teamwork can accomplish!” Board President Matt Wesener said. “It was phenomenal to see the community support for these girls along the way. Congratulations to all the girls and the coaches for winning the State Championship!”

The Varsity Girls’ Team has set a high bar for their peers, demonstrating that with focus, dedication, and perseverance, anything is possible. Their success is a testament to the school district's commitment to excellence in athletics and academics, and the teamwork and support of the entire Huskie Pack community.

The district would like to extend its congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ Team on this incredible achievement. They have made the district proud and inspired future generations of students to follow in their footsteps. The Huskie Pack has once again demonstrated that they are a force to be reckoned with in the world of high school sports.

“It’s really rewarding,” senior guard Regan Finkbeiner said. “I’m just happy we got to show off what we didn’t get to two years ago, and I’m proud of our team. We all contributed, and I’m really happy for our team and our community. We’ll never forget this moment, and I don’t think our community will.”

The district looks forward to celebrating this incredible achievement with the entire Huskie Pack community and congratulates the Varsity Girls’ Team on a job well done.
