Jamie is married to Tony, and they have two children: Alyssa and Dominic, who both attend Hemlock Public School District. Jamie graduated from Shepherd High School in 1995 and attended Northwood University on a cross country and track scholarship, where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Accounting. Jamie believes in giving back to the community. She is a CPA and has a strong background in auditing school districts. This is one way I could share my knowledge of school finances.

Jamie believes the single greatest challenge our district faces is getting all of our employees working together towards a common goal, preparing our students to be ready for the “real” world and to be good citizens. This includes students that attend college, trade schools, and those that go directly into the workforce. I know there are financial concerns, and those need to be looked at too, but our primary goal is to educate children. She is most proud of the fact that we are constantly trying to provide more opportunities for kids. The District really does believe in "Kids First."
