Did you know HPSD has the most stable enrollment in recent history? Historically families have fewer children, then in the past, which in part is why the district has faced declining enrollment since the 1980s. Thank you Hemlock Board of Education for the vision and leadership to help guide our school district.

MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION AT SCHOOL--Please be aware that State law prohibits school personnel from administering prescription or over-the-counter medications to students unless parents provide the district with a medication administration form signed by a physician detailing medication administration. Medication administration forms were provided to parents in back-to-school materials and are available from the building offices as well. Additionally, State law prohibits school personnel from providing any minor first aid materials--band aids, topical ointments, sprays, etc.--to students. Please plan ahead with your student and ensure that you return the completed, physician-signed medication forms and accompanying medications to the office for administration if necessary. THANK YOU!

Flashback to 2007….. First-grade teacher, Mrs. Lyn Rozek, and her first-grade class commemorated reading month by making a quilt to celebrate reading. Each child chose his/her favorite book and made a square to be placed on the quilt. Mrs. Mary Graves, the school librarian, assembled and finished the quilt for the class. The quilt was displayed in the elementary library and then stored. Members of this year's 2018 SENIOR CLASS, from Mrs. Rozek’s class of 2007, who have remained in the Hemlock School District were entered in a drawing. Senior Jessica Murphy’s name was drawn out of the hat. This is the third year in a row a quilt was given to a senior. There are three more quilts to be given in the next three years. How time flies...Congratulations to Jessica Murphy, and to the Class of 2018!

Don worked the clock for all of our basketball games, led many youth sports programs, and was a dedicated sports booster volunteer in our wrestling, basketball, and many other activities. Don was an All Sports Award winner from 1966. (Pictures are displayed in the north lobby at the high school.) Pictured: Scott, John, RoseMary, and Joan presenting Don with his award.
