Parent/Teacher Conferences November 8  1:00-4:00 p.m. & 5:30-7:30 p.m.

RACE TO THE TOP PET CONTEST- is a fundraiser sponsored by our Student Council. Pick up entry forms in the office. All entries must be LIVING pets in your household. $2.00 per EACH entry; you may enter as many pets as you have. The top seven pets (voted on by you, our middle school students) will be selected to be ambassador representatives for Mr. Keyser and each of the Student Council Officers for the remainder of this school year. All entries should be turned into the collection box in the office and are due by the end of the day WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7th.

MS Leadership Class- will be collecting hygiene products to donate to the Underground Railroad.  Please see the posters & flyers in the hallways for ideas of what you can bring in.  All donations will need to be here by November 14th. The donation box is located outside of  the library.

Athletic Department- will be selling old uniforms during Parent/Teacher Conferences at the high school.  Every item is $1.00.   Everyone is welcome!

5th Grade Band Students- Students should bring their instruments and books with them to school on their first official day of band.

The schedule will be as follows:

Woodwinds (Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone) - Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays

Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn) - Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays

Percussion - Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays

Saginaw Spirit Hockey- is hosting their second annual “Robotics Night” on Sunday, November 4.  Ticket order forms are available in the office. Tickets are $13.00 payable by check to Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club. Hemlock Robotics receives $5.00 back from every purchase.  Middle School and High School robotic teams will have displays set up prior to the game in the Blue Line Club from 4:00-5:00.

Spirit T-Shirt Design Contest-   submit an appropriate drawing,  phrase,  or picture of what you feel best represents the Huskie Spirit.  The winning design will also be featured on our Spirit Shirt and orders will be placed online. The WINNER will receive a t-shirt with their design and $25.00.    Forms are available in the office.   Forms are available in the office.    Deadline is November 7th

      

Spelling Bee- If you are interested in participating in the 2018-19 spelling bee. Please sign up in the office or see Mrs. Garrett.  Practice will begin November 6. Come join 3 time state champion in his final year of competition.

SPORTS/CLUBS-

GENERAL INFORMATION

Box Tops- Please clip any box tops from home and drop them off in the office.

Rainy mornings-on days when you are allowed inside due to weather, 5th graders sitting at their lockers in their hallway, 6th graders sitting at their lockers in their hallway, 7th graders seated on north side tables in cafeteria, 8th graders in lobby. Remain there until 7:45 when bell rings.

Breakfast and lunch rules-everyone is expected to finish their meal in the cafeteria and dispose of all trash before leaving the cafeteria. Respect our building by keeping it litter free inside and out.

Ala carte Specials- starting today  you will be able to purchase Sparkling Ice flavors for $1.25 (thursday only), and on Friday cookies one for $.75 or two for $1.00.  You must have money on your account or cash.
