Hemlock Public School District Board honors Coach

The Hemlock Board of Education honors long-time coach Larry Graf with the naming of the softball field after him at their regular June meeting.

Larry Graf started his coaching career at Hemlock in 1986 and has amassed an impressive record of 702-272. More importantly than Larry’s win-loss record is the positive impact he has had with student athlete’s over the years.

Principal Keith Green noted, “Larry is the epitome of Hemlock. Larry loves the Huskies and has dedicated his free time for the past forty plus years to make Hemlock a better place.”

The athletic department would like to invite all former softball players, coaches, parents, and community members to the softball field courts located at west of the bus loop between K.C. Ling Elementary and the Middle School tentatively on Friday, September 7th    at 5:00 p.m. to honor Larry Graf in the naming of the field.

Superintendent Don Killingbeck said, “Whether it is in the announcing booth for Friday night football games, helping out with softball, or farming a 30-acre parcel with proceeds going to athletics you know Larry Graf is going to be doing something positive. He continually supports the school, the community, and making sure that kids are first!"
