week 34

This week is our 34th week for the 2020-2021 school year.

I appreciate everyone's help in celebrating our teachers this week. Many of you shared kind words and notes and let our team members know how special they are to your child(ren) and family.

We continue to work toward providing our students with the best school experience possible. We have seen a trend of increased COVID 19 cases and related quarantines among our high school student population.

Our current numbers of COVID-19 positive cases at our high school are the highest we have seen all school year long, and we find the need to pause face-to-face instruction for our high school students grades 9-12 starting Friday, May 7th through Wednesday, May 12th. We may extend remote learning beyond next Wednesday but want to pause to review and reflect and make sure we do everything possible to protect our face-to-face instruction for the remainder of the year.

With this in mind, I need to continue to urge parents to keep sick children home; this helps protect our face-to-face instruction and services from disruption.
