Finkbeiner hits 1,000 Points

For Hemlock High School Senior Nolan Finkbeiner, his dream has now become a reality.  Finkbeiner, a four-year starter, needed 24 points to reach 1,000, but he didn’t stop at 1,000. Finkbeiner was 10-for-10 from the line in the fourth quarter to secure the win against the Cavaliers, who shared the TVC West title with Hemlock last season.

Finkbeiner shared, “It’s emotional and something I worked for all my life. This is a special moment to share with my teammates, they have made this moment a success.”

Coach Matt Bauer said, “The win was the number 1 thing for him.  He was going to get to 1,000 sometime this season.  I thought it would be super-cool to get it at his home court. He needed 24 points, so if he didn’t get it in this game he would get it eventually.  To get it in a big game like this on his home court makes it even more special.”

Superintendent Killingbeck said, "Nolan is the full package, he is an honor student, very talented athlete, and an all-around nice young man. This accomplishment is a highlight of all the hard work that he puts in."
